Diagnostic Radiologist

Systems Assessment and Research, Inc. (SAR Corp) is a leading provider of Physician, Ancillary and Allied healthcare services to federal, state and local governments and education organizations.

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to provide services as part of a multi-disciplinary team at a local military medical treatment facility in the Washington, D.C. area.

Position is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. On-Call is on a rotational basis of 1:6. Services are not required on holidays, unless on-call. The liability (malpractice) insurance is company paid.

Radiologist shall have:

Education: Shall hold Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and completed an internship and residency in an accredited US Diagnostic Radiology Training Program and is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Must have also completed Fellowship training in one of the following: musculoskeletal imaging, body imaging or mammography (women´s imaging). Any physician who is a foreign medical graduate must have certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) of successful completion of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medical Services (FMGEMS).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Must have and maintain a current license to practice in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of services. This license must be current, valid, and unrestricted.
  • Must be MQSA qualified and be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret mammography.

Experience:
Shall have continuously practiced diagnostic radiology or in training for the two years prior to the commencement of services.
Related experience will not be accepted in lieu of degree or license requirements.

Basic Life Support Training:
Must possess current course basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program or the ability to obtain within two weeks of acceptance of position.
