Systems Assessment and Research, Inc. (SAR Corp) is a leading provider of physician and allied healthcare services to federal, state and local governments, and has a 14 year history in providing practitioners to select military hospitals. At this time, SAR Corp is seeking two (2) full time Pain Management Anesthesiologists to work with our wounded warriors at a prestigious military hospital in the Washington, DC area. Pain Management Anesthesiologists will be a part of a new medical program which focuses on state-of the art treatment services, while actively participating in the education of the anesthesiology residents and SRNAs.

A very attractive compensation package is offered: 24 days of accrued leave, 10 paid Federal holidays, CEU/CME reimbursement and total malpractice coverage. The position is available for immediate start given up-to-date credentials. Core working hours will be Monday – Friday / Flexible 8 hours working days with rotating on call services.
Requirements: 1. Possess a Doctorate Degree in Medicine from an accredited college approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, a Doctorate Degree in Osteopathy from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association, or permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). 2. Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands. 3. Possess board certification in anesthesiology as determined by the American Board of Anesthesiology or scheduled to complete the Board examination within the next 12 months. If originally certified prior to January 2000 under indefinite certification expiration, must be enrolled in the American Board of Anesthesiology Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology program and have been voluntarily recertified since that time. Original board certification in anesthesiology must have been obtained within two years of graduation from anesthesiology residency. As this is a major teaching institution, recertification is required every ten years. 4. Possess current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Renewal of ACLS may be done via on-site Navy classes at the discretion of the Chief of Anesthesia when it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Navy to do so. 5. Have minimum of two years experience practicing Anesthesiology within the last three years (Residency counts towards years of experience). 6. Have minimum of one year experience in teaching anesthesia residents, Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA’s), or medical students. within the last three years. |
